For our final pre-sale profile, we’re gonna get a little Pentacostal on you. Five simple steps to salvation:
1. The new single: physical and digital out June 19th
Recorded by Felix Fung at Little Red Studios, Vancouver BC, March, 2012
500 copies total: 350 black, 150 color.
Black pre-orders now available in the catalogue tab and sidebar. Get in touch for trade/ wholesale.
Color pre-orders only available in the six pack bundle here (not a whole lot left, we may add).
We’re not going to stream it quite yet; if you wanna hear the debut, tune into the Nardwuar the Human Serviette radio show on Friday, June 15th for Nardwuar vs. The Ballantynes! We promised Nard the chance to debut the record, so we’ll stream all weekend after that.
2. The Message/The Railtown Abbey is nearly gone: last copies!
All that hustle has paid off: we’re down to our last handful of The Ballantynes’ first single. They will be taken off the website shopping cart within the next week or so. Grab them sooner than later (or grab the pre-sale six-pack and request it for your choice of catalogue title).
3. Long live The Message/The Railtown Abbey!
While the physical copies may be hasta, The Ballantynes’ first single is now available on iTunes
4. Music Waste Festival (Vancouver, BC)
The Ballantynes are shutting down the wrap-up at the Waldorf Daytime BBQ, Sunday, June 10th, 6:00 pm. Also on the bill: Horse Girls, Weed, Twin River, Village and Pleasure Cruise!
5: Let’s go Sleddin’
We’ve got some west coast tour plans to reveal in the coming weeks. But, first, to get the summer started correct, the one we’ve been waiting for, without further ado, The Ballantynes at Sled Island, Calgary Alberta!
You’ve got two opportunities:
Friday, June 22nd. No. 1 Legion. Massive.
10:00 The Ballantynes
11:00 Terry Malts
12:00 The Reigning GODDAMN Sound!
Saturday, June 23rd. The Blues Can. Come party with us in Inglewood!
We’re gonna hit up Recordland, high five Armand, eat at the Harley Diner and go nuts for the inaugaural La Ti Da Records Blues Can boozecan! Thanks to LEGS and the Bash Brothers for coming along for the ride! We’ll make sure this one counts.
As Fergal once put it so very aptly, here comes the summer!
