NO WHITE JEANS AFTER LABOR DAY UNLESS YOU’RE ANDREW W.K.

As the end of summer tours, summer flings, and summer weather looms on the horizon, you might find yourself trying to wring the last drops of fun and High Life out of your short shorts and beach towels. We know how you feel. We’ve got a few suggestions, and you’re not sharpening pencils yet are you?

Welcome to The Wild Ones!

Remember the girl you met on your family beach vacation? The one who boogie-boarded circles around you until your eyes were as heart shaped as her sunglasses? Well she’s all grown up, and now she can out drink, out smoke, and out shred you. Hell, multiply her by four, because just like Corey’s back when these babes were born, the more the better.
Of course we could only be talking about one pack of gal pal garage heart breakers and that is The Wild Ones. Smitten since the winter, and with increasing reports of magic in the air in Santa Cruz, we came a courtin’.
Combining a classic dreamy surf sound with rally cries of partying hard, and the echo of cat calls that would make their male counterparts blush, you might have to stop and remind yourself, you’re listening to a girl band, Michael.

While they pile into the van with their hometown cohorts, Bummer City, we are thrilled to welcome the ladies into the LaTiDa family with their debut release forthcoming for fall.
One thing about living in Santa Cruz we never could stomach, all the damn vampire jokes.

Check the poster below and check for updates here on their FB page.

Chains of Love Strange Grey Days Release

Chains of Love are formally celebrating the release of their fine and fantastic Strange Grey Days LP (Dine Alone/Manimal) this Saturday August 11 at the Cobalt.

La Ti Da’s very own The React! and DJ Bryce Dunn will be right along with them with their sounds abound! You’ll wanna bring extra dollars to take home a copy of Strange Grey Days if you haven’t already. Who knows: The React’s debut single might make the last bus in time for the show as well! Doors at 9:30. This will be a good one.
